This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, driven software developer looking to play a major role in shaping the technical direction of a small, innovative software development company. The individual stepping into this position will work in an exciting field, and utilize state of the art technology to develop software solutions that will have significant impact on the manner in which identity is defined in the U.S.

We are looking to add a talented software developer to our existing technical team. This individual will work collaboratively with our current staff, with the goal of developing into a senior technical leader. Client interaction and modest travel should be expected.

Essential Job Functions

• Design and implement web-based identity management software solutions utilizing state of the art development tools and practices.

• Play a major role in setting the technical direction of the company.

• Collaborate with the business development team and other technical staff to architect new product solutions.

• Represent Probaris as a technical expert at client engagements, at industry conferences, and when discussing solution integrations with our partners.

• Mentor junior technical staff members.

Minimum and Desired Qualifications

The list below represents a sample of the skills we are looking for in filling this position. The ideal candidate will possess an innate drive to succeed, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of co-workers to create a high performing development team.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or some other technical discipline.

• Five or more years of professional software development experience in a variety of technologies, including web-based software development.

• Proficiency in Java and J2EE technologies.

• Working knowledge of C# and .NET.

• Exposure to the Agile development methodology using Scrum.

• Experience working with a growing technology team in a dynamic workplace that encourages creativity and innovation.

• Experience with one or more of the following is desirable but not required.  For the right candidate, Probaris will provide training:

  • Public key infrastructure [PKI]

  • Smart cards, inclusive of ISO 7816 and ISO 14443

  • Global Platform

  • Biometrics, including fingerprints and facial recognition

  • Building access control systems

  • AFIS / IAFIS

• Preference will be given for individuals holding a CISSP certification.
